This design showcase is organised by Lighting Reality (Campion House, Green St. Kidderminster, DY10 1JL), in celebration of the 25-year anniversary of the company.

 

Eligibility

The showcase is open to professional lighting designers aged 18 and over who have used Lighting Reality PRO to design their submitted project. Entries are welcome from any country unless prohibited by local law.

 

Entry Requirements

Each entry must include:

  • A short written description of the project (max. 300 words)
  • 1–3 images (JPEG or PNG format, minimum resolution 1500px on the longest side)
  • The name and contact details of the entrant

The project must have been designed using Lighting Reality PRO and must be the original work of the entrant.

 

Submission Period

The showcase opens on 21st October 2025 and closes at midnight on 30th November 2025 (BST). Entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

 

Judging and Shortlisting

All eligible entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by Lighting Reality, based on design creativity/innovation, use of Lighting Reality PRO software, and project impact. A shortlist will be selected and displayed at online, where peer voting will determine the winner.

 

Prize

A prize of a £100 John Lewis voucher will be awarded to the winner. No cash alternative will be offered.

 

Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

By entering, you confirm that you own the rights to all images and content submitted. You grant Lighting Reality a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your entry (including images and text) for promotional and marketing purposes in relation to the showcase, both online and in print. You will always be credited when your work is used.

 

Data Protection

Personal data submitted will be used solely for the administration of this competition and will not be shared with third parties, except where necessary for judging and prize fulfilment. All data will be handled in accordance with Lighting Reality’s Privacy Policy.

 

Disqualification/Entry Limits

Entries that are incomplete, contain inappropriate content, or infringe the rights of others will be disqualified. Each entrant may submit only one project.

 

Modifications/Cancellation

Lighting Reality reserves the right to cancel the showcase, amend rules, deadlines, prizes or judging arrangements due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

Limitation of Liability

Lighting Reality is not responsible for technical issues, lost submissions, or damages arising from participation in the showcase.

 

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
