Statement on Log4j exploit for Lighting Reality software and services.
We have had a few questions come in over the past couple of days about the Log4j exploit (CVE-2021-44228) that is making headlines around the world.
The Log4j exploit DOES NOT have any impact on any Lighting Reality software or services/infrastructure. Our applications are built using software which does not use Log4j, or any Java software. In addition, we host all our licence servers on Windows Server and none of the components or other software we use are Java based.
We distribute our software through the Amazon AWS CloudFront service, and Amazon have confirmed that none of the software in this service is written in Java, so is not impacted by the Log4j exploit.
