Celebrating 25 Years of Design Creativity using Lighting Reality PRO
🎉 To celebrate 25 years of helping lighting designers bring spaces to life, we’re launching a special competition exploring what we have achieved together and how Lighting Reality PRO contributed — and we’d love to see your brightest work.
👩💻We’re inviting you to share your favourite project created using our software. Whether it’s a recent triumph or a golden oldie, this is your chance to show off your creativity, revisit a proud moment, and gain the recognition you deserve.
🗓️ We recognise that projects executed in the past weren’t subject to the same standards and criteria as they are today. This will be taken into consideration.
💥The showcase is intended to be a bit of retrospective fun and highlight inspiring projects. Lighting Reality is not trying to be the authority on the quality of lighting projects. We want to hear about and celebrate the projects that have sparked people’s imagination over the years.
What’s in it for you?
- A shot at being shortlisted and showcased online
- Peer judging of shortlisted designs, by fellow designers
- Exposure to local authority base and our 4000+ lighting industry mailing list, peer recognition, a touch of nostalgia, a bit of fun!
- Plus a £100 John Lewis voucher for the winner (no cash alternative)

Each entry must include:
- A short written description of the project (max. 1000 words)
- 1–3 images (JPEG or PNG format, minimum resolution 1500px on the longest side)
- The name and contact details of the entrant
The project must have been designed using Lighting Reality PRO and must be the original work of the entrant.
Here’s What We’d Love to Know:
- Innovation – what new technique or novel approach was used in the design of this project? For a bonus mark, please state how Lighting Reality PRO helped you achieve this.
- Efficiency – please demonstrate the energy efficiency of your design by sharing the energy performance indicators used within the Lighting Reality PRO application.
- Ecology – protection of flora and fauna and biological organisms within the environment. Please demonstrate via the selection and application of equipment from within the Lighting Reality PRO database.
- Economy – Cost of construction and revenues for maintenance. Please tell us about how you established the best performance from the Lighting Reality PRO Optimisation and Energy Performance Indicators.
- Astrology – Protection of the night sky, Dark Skies compliance. Please show how you validated your design choices with Lighting Reality PRO through photometry selection, G Class reporting, Imax data or specific calculations.
Remember to include how Lighting Reality PRO helped you in a way that wouldn’t have been possible with other lighting design software? There will be bonus marks for evidence of how Lighting Reality PRO has helped in terms of saving time and revenue in designing your project.
