Q. What if I want to search for a Lighting Manufacturer whose data is not on LR Spektd?
A. A request is 100% more powerful coming from you than it is from us. Please email the manufacturer with the following request “Hi, at X practice we’re using Spektd from Lighting Reality to speed up our search, selection and specifying process. We’d love to be able to access your products on the system. Please click HERE (link to Lighting Reality website) to find out how to upload your data.”

Q. Will LR Studio completely replace LR PRO and will it be available online only?
A. Eventually, yes.
The 2 software packages will run side-by-side until the end of 2025. LR Studio will run on the cloud, but projects can either be saved in the cloud or locally.
Q. Will all annual Lighting Reality PRO licences being migrated to annual LR Studio subscriptions?
A. Yes. LR Studio subscriptions will grant access to both LR PRO & LR Studio.
Q. Can designs created in LR PRO be viewed and edited in LR Studio?
A. Yes – we have designed-in forward compatibility (but backward compatibility is not possible).
Q. Is additional training required for LR Studio or does it function much the same at LR PRO?
A. We think you will find the software more intuitive and there are built in help modules, however we will be creating a transition training courses for people who would like some further guidance.
